The Frito Bandito

When yawning, I sometime say "aye yie yie", and that in turn makes me think of the Frito Bandito and his song.

The Frito Bandito was dumped in 1971 as a ?mascot? for Frito's corn chips. He was deemed as offensive to the Mexican community. I am as politically correct as anyone, but I never found him offensive. Of course, I was maybe 7 years old when he was dumped, so maybe I don't remember him correctly. I just found him as a suave and refined counterpart to his obvious american counterpart Yosemite Sam (Both were voiced by Mel Blanc, btw). Sure he stole fritos, but as predilictions go, it could have been a lot worse. And who can blame him, fritos were delicious then, before genetically modified corn, and artificial corn flavoring ruined everything. And he was probably hungry, since in the parts of the world that are not the United States, people are poor and starving, and were even more starving then, before genetically modified corn that could feed 10x as many people per acre had been developed.
